CHUGG

Ok I know, a little late on the update, Jimmy Choo and Ugg Australia collaboration was announced in January. With little released and designs kept hush, I held on praying something, just a tiny inkling would have been let known. But no this was not the case, so I cannot resist anymore and I have to gossip about this unusual or even perfect pairing.

Within the Ugg market we are now seeing brands such as Koolburra, Emu’s and From Love with Australia, catching our attention with their bold, edgy designs, adding that something extra, in some cases a heel. Fitflop boots got in on the action with designer Anna Sui, to create a fantastic boot. Yet Ugg plod along with their traditional designs, nothing wrong with that, but a bit of change wouldn’t hurt. Enter Jimmy Choo!

Jimmy Choo is renowned for his designs, from edgy out there designs, to some sophisticated styles suited to the less adventurous. Even with so much recognition from us ‘normal people’ to those that grace the red carpet, collaborations have begun to take place.

Jimmy Choo and Hunters became a sought-after item, after Glastonbury’s fashion conscious paraded around in mud wearing the signature crocodile print wellies. Then the H&M collaboration, which I dare say I found unusual at first, nonetheless the buzz was incredible, with insane people queuing and camping out to get their feet in those shoes.

I am still puzzled over the designs that will be created for Ugg and there is the chance that they might not be everyone’s cup of tea. All we know so far is that there will be 5 new styles in a variety of colours, available in October. The price range however is the only down side to this collaboration, from styles costing £495 - £695. Of course the boots will only be available in certain stores, Jimmy Choo stores, Ugg Australia stores, prestigious department stores that sell Jimmy Choo and online. So I leave you wondering with what possible designs and creations the new ‘CHUGG’ will bring to the traditional Ugg.
